Theme and aims of the Activity
This transnational meeting was the first activity implemented under the project SEITYE funded by Dutch National Agency under Erasmus plus programme. The main themes of the meeting were to promote entrepreneurship education and social entrepreneurship among young people, promoting empowerment and the quality of youth work. The representatives, professionals and experts from partner organizations from Netherlands, Germany, France, Finland, Portugal and Greece had the opportunity to meet in Sieburg to have the first physical debates and discussions about the best way to achieve the SEITYE project. This transnational meeting was a moment to bring together experts from partner organizations to work on preparation of proposals to implement and develop next steps of project "SEITYE - Social and Economic Inclusion through Youth Entrepreneurship". The team composed by elements of promoter organization PRSD Network from Portugal, ADYNE Netherlands and partner organizations MIGRAFRICA from Germany, Puntland Community from Finland, ADIF from France and ASANTE from Greece had the chance to develop key ideas, identify the challenges and then discuss as way to find better solutions to successfully implement this project. To do it, the messages from partner experts involved in this meeting were clear and at same time reinforced the common humanity between professionals and representatives by highlighting that all the experts presented ware professionals with migrant background and descendant immigrants and former refugees based in Netherlands, Germany, Finland, France, Portugal and Greece. The partner organizations and members of steering committee team as main responsible to prepare and responsible for making the entire project to be well succeed did this meeting also with intention to make sure that other key stakeholders and professionals organizations and local institutions from partner countries will also be involved in the project and bring their experience and how to use online resources and social media tools in different European countries to promote and spread the results of SEITYE project. The common needs of our partner organizations and some elements interviewed from target group and beneficiaries of project strongly addressed during transnational meeting in Germany that this project is an opportunity for youth leaders, youth workers and young people with migrant background with few opportunities to be equipped necessary tools for global outreach through youth entrepreneurship to ensure a strong social and economical inclusion, enhance ideological difference, demonstrating the difference as the values of mutual learning and understanding as well as to express themselves and engage in order to show the image of young people from African Diaspora they want to transmit which is actually far from the reality of life for many young people with immigrant background that are being spread. This transnational meeting involved also the representatives of partner organizations that work with young people in Europe, leaders of African organizations including ethnic minorities groups and young people with social and economical problem. The total of 20 participants including the organizers, guests, experts, youth workers, researchers and trainers attended the meeting in Sieburg and using the methodology of non-formal education as insertion of interactive and dynamic discussion process agreed on common points to be implemented during the whole project. This meeting had also a character as plenary debates, structured around the "Inclusion and empowerment of young people with African background", promoting debates, sharing knowledge, experiences and good practices by exploring the social and economical inclusion methods that can be used during the project SEITYE. One of the main aims of this transnational meeting is to allow the partners to operate on the basis of true partnership and providing a transparent structure on project implementation.
