Summary:
This project focuses on immigrant youth workers that work in immigrant organizations working for the inclusion of young immigrant and youth refugees with few opportunities in disadvantage areas, coming from the families that are facing cultural differences, educational difficulties, social, economical and geographical obstacles in the partner countries and at same time giving crucial contributions to the organizations and associations that work for inclusion disadvantage areas in Portugal, Finland and Greece.

First Training
- Training: Six working days in Almada from 5th to 10th of November 2019. It will be "Training on Social and Economical Responsibilities of Youth Workers in Disadvantage Areas." for 15 social workers and mediators in Almada to understanding the importance of social and economical competencies of youth workers to increase the social-economical responsibility in their residence countries. This activity will have a residential format and non-formal methods divided into daily sessions where participants in a community spirit, have spaces to lead and share their personals and collectives experiences and knowledge.

Second Training

- Training: Six working days in Athens from 4th to 9th of September 2020. It will be "Training for Immigrant Youth Workers that work with young immigrants and youth refugees" for 15 social workers and mediators in Athens to understanding the competencies of youth immigrant workers on civic engagement, learning mobility, solidarity and intercultural understanding in the immigrants communities and social neighborhoods and participation and knowledge on social-economical development of immigrants community by providing social assistances. This activity will have a residential format and non-formal methods divided into daily sessions where participants in a community spirit, have spaces to lead and share their personals and collectives experiences and knowledge.
The aim:
• To improve the socio-economic inclusion of young immigrants with disadvantages as way to make them more active citizens and more confidence in their society. This will bring together immigrant youth workers from Portugal, Finland and Greece to work on youth talent, social inclusion and better involvement of young people and at same time give more expertise to work and design on their own lives, creativity and talents, as well as respond to their needs and inclusion, contributing to positive change in society. Objectives:
• To develop essential social and economical responsibility through Youth Work for with immigrant groups and way to provide a better responses to the community in disadvantage situation.
• To contribute for the eradication of poverty and all forms of racism and discrimination that affect negatively immigrant groups and promote their social and economical inclusion.
• To increase knowledge about the intercultural context of the social-economical responsibility and immigrants youth inclusion in European Youth Cooperation context, adding the availability among youth workers to work within immigrant communities.
• To make 30 youth workers well prepared and gain confidence about inclusion and provide bases to approach and initiate a dialogue about poverty and social-economical exclusion problems among immigrants and refugees, by motivation and awareness about values underpinning youth work and social-economical responsibility.
• To promote best practices of youth workers and activities and policies that are inclusive for young immigrants and youth refugees, specially young people with few opportunities.
Expect Outcomes:
- Increase the efforts and motivation of participants to support young immigrants and youth refugees on employment, entrepreneurship and civic engagement on 2 sustainable actions that increase the cooperation and work among organizations, and consequently the life conditions of young immigrants and youth refugees in disadvantage areas.
- Strength more 5 youth and immigrant organizations presence in disadvantage areas with significant number young immigrants and youth refugees.
- Foster cooperation with key stakeholders, governmental and non-governmental institutions that work in disadvantage areas for better opportunities to increase the capacity of immigrant youth workers.
- Promote best practices and responsibility that immigrant youth workers and organizations do on social and economical inclusion for young immigrants and youth refugees in disadvantage areas.
- Create network of immigrant youth workers working in disadvantage areas to support on social and economical policy intervention in disadvantage areas.
- Create opportunities for participation immigrant youth workers to join committees or work directly with elected officials to discuss community needs or to suggest possible changes to specific social-economical policies that affect the poor.

Language: The work language will be English. The experts and professional involved in the project will ensure the translations between English and other languages in all activities of project.
